So July 9th was our latest Big Social held at Wharf Chambers. This was arranged predominantly by Sarah Spanton and Lynette Willoughby. In the Social, members got the chance to socialise and to take part in ‘The gift’. The Gift is a project where members can pitch a project idea that they are currently working on, and other members get to vote on which project or projects they would like to support. This time Lynette Willoughby, Sue Ball and Sarah Spanton kindly donated hours to the time bank to make this possible. Members can donate hours to other members at any time through our gifting transaction service.
There were some really interesting projects presented so thanks to all that contributed. Well done to Ed Carlisle and his Den Building project with T4P. First event marks National Play Day on 6th August and is for kids and families to go beyond the cities to build Giant Dens, and second event on 28th September is at the Tetley. Congratulations also to Carla Moss and her International Art Exchange project, who was also gifted hours to support her project. More details to follow shortly.
We had a lovely time and also discussed important time bank developments like the introduction of a nominal membership donation. We talked about projects that have been happening recently and shared ideas about future projects. If you would like to gift hours to another member then do get in touch via our email. Many people brought home cooked food and some evn brought home grown fruit from their allotments.
Here are more pictures taken by Magdalena Szymanska to give you a little more of picture of what happened.
