No matter what stage you are at in your practice or project, it’s likely that the Timebank can help bring your idea or concept to fruition.
Here are a few examples:
I’ve got the start of an idea – but it’s not ready to share yet…
Why not book a session with a member or two to talk through your concept and bounce around ideas?
My idea is forming but I’d like to dig deeper into one or two aspects
A Lightbulb Moment session with a group of members is a great way to investigate the specifics of your idea. If you’re not sure how to run a session like this, maybe start with a quick one-to-one. This will help you to create a structure and to achieve the outcomes you’re looking for.
My idea is fully formed – but I’m not sure how to deliver it
We all get this – whether it’s productivity issues, inexperience in planning, logistics, funding gaps, dealing with global epidemics. Most of the time you just need someone with project management skills. Identify where you are with your project and put in a request. There will be a member who can help.
I need to share what I’m up to with others – but *insert communication problem*
We have lots of members with experience in communications – from website designers to writers and social media specialists. If getting your message out there is the problem, you can guarantee there is another member with expertise.
How do I end my project? What about evaluation?
It’s never too early to start thinking about this. We have members who can advise and support you so your project doesn’t end abruptly and you can show the impact you’ve made.
But… I’ve not got enough credits. I’m worried about wasting them and I want to save them for a rainy day.
There are lots of ways you can earn more credits, doing something that helps the Timebank or our members. Contact the Timebrokers and discuss ways you can build up or get support with credits. This is good for the Timebank as well as you – keeping credits flowing between members shows success.
- You don’t need to hand control of your idea to anyone else – members can support or mentor you without taking over.
- You could use a whiteboard – real or online, such as Jamboard – to capture your ideas.
- If you’re worried that someone might copy your idea, these sessions can be covered by a simple non-disclosure agreement.
Whatever you’re aiming to achieve, tell the Timebrokers and they’ll help you to get going!
